District culture

Joypurhat newly formed district Born 1984 Earlier it was part of the greater Bogra district. Dinajpur on the north of the border of India, Gaibandha and Bogra in the east, Naogaon and Bogra districts on the south and West Bengal state of India on the west.

Many years ago, the identity of rural or folk-rich culture was very much in the district. During British rule kirtan, procession, palagan, kabigan, baul, murshidi, folk songs, bawaiyya, jatra etc. were celebrated on the occasion of various festivals. During the rainy season, boat bikes contest songs were enjoyed by people of river banks. Waking up all night, people used to listen to Buddhism, Panchatika Kisama (story of Chuitti in the night). This district is under the influence of Bhawaiya song in Rangpur Dinajpur. Earlier, zamindars or wealthy potdar was a sponsor of cultural programs. The rural game dust is also in the same rhythm.

Feminism culture gradually became weak after the partition of the country. The journey of the theatrical (theater) movement became popular. Many establishments of plays have been established in Joypurhat, Panchbibi, Aanchalpur and Khetlal. After independence in 1971, many cultural organizations were formed in the upazila level along with district headquarters. However, organizations are not as enthusiastic as they are in the past (to some extent without obligation) to sponsor, responsibility for the livelihood and other activities of the responsible organizer or employee. The lack of government cooperation and the environment created by the environment also reduced the activities of cultural organizations. Which ones have become inactive.

Presently, in the district headquarters, cultural activities continue to run a few times in the midst of various adversities and limitations. District Shilpakala Academy, National Rabindra Sangeet Samilan Parishad has been conducting various training programs for music (in various subjects). In the month of March 2008 (14-16), the 27th National Rabindranath Tagore Conference was held in three days. National Rabindra Songit Sammilan Parishad, Joypurhat District Branch organizes a program to respond to the support of the local cultural activists and cultural people and the administration. Artists of almost all the districts including national artists, writers, academics, and women participated in this conference. In the National Day, District Shishu Academy, Shilpakala Academy, National Rabindra Sangeet Sammilan Parishad, Music Club, Village Theater, Phulki, Sargam, Baul, Chitantagar Village Theater, Human Rights Drama Parishad, Khelagar Asor and cultural programs are organized. Now the cultural activity is increasing day by day.

Language:

There is no specific regional language in Joypurhat district. Approximately ten miles later, the difference between language is more or less understood. In the western part of Joypurhat and Panchbibi, almost one type of regional language is spoken, namely - you rice rice? (You / You / have eaten / served rice). People of Aanchalpur, Khetlal and Kalai upazilas talk a little bit. Here is the regional language influences of Bogra. Just like you're in the queue (where are you going?) The word here does not mean any kind of ornament. But a section of the educated people speak in a different language (their number is less).
