The heritage of the upazila
Joypurhat sadar upazila of Joypurhat district established 1918 with nine unions.
In the year 26, 1971, the Pak army of Hindu unhappy Bari-Kadipur village of Joypurhat thana Union of Bamboo killed at least 371 villagers with brutal assassination with the help of their collaborators (Razaka, Al-Badar).
